Get Involved!

Get Involved!

Without the support provided by adult mentors, Gus Team 228 as we know it would not exist. Everyone from the engineers who help with the design and construction of the robot, to the parents that assist in any way they can, contributes to our team. There is always some way to make a lasting impact on our team, and volunteering your time is one of the best ways.

Don't know what you can do to help Gus? Don't worry, you do not need a be a "technical" person to GetInvolved!. There are plenty of ways parents and teachers can help out that don't involve the robot. Read more...

Team Forums

Team Forums

One of the new additions on our team website for the 2006 season was our Team Forums. Here, members, alumni, and mentors gather to discuss anything related to our team. Among the many discussions on our team forum, our team members wrote our 2006 Chairman's and Woodie Flowers Award entrees in a hidden sub-forum, actively collaborating at home and at robotics meetings.

Although our team forums are powered by PhpBB forum software (the only major part of this website to run on software that was not created by team 228 students), their cosmetic appearance has been heavily "modded" to match the theme of the rest of this website. Read more...

Do you have any questions about Team 228 or FIRST? Do you have any questions, comments, or feedback about our website that you would like to share with us? Would you like to contact our team coach, engineer, or webmaster? Then visit our Contact Gus page!

Within the past several months, we have received email from people all around the world asking for more information about FIRST, Vex, and more. (Some of these emails came from as far as Florida, Idaho, Great Britain, Malaysia, and the Philippines.) Team 228 is the only FIRST team that can be found by searching solely for their team number on Google. The reason why?
